ALMASCIENCE is a Sustainable Innovation R&D Lab focused on the development of Smart Cellulose-Based technologies and product solutions according to Industry needs. We work with brands and tier 1 companies to develop the technology required to fulfill their innovation strategy. We offer cost-effective and ecologically game-changing, cellulose-based, materials, devices, and systems, for multiple markets including; Smart Packaging and IOT, Security, Printed Electronics, Health, Logistics, Construction, and Bio-Medical. Our approach focuses on industry 4.0 compatible, locally produced, printable, energy-efficient, and fully recyclable alternatives to traditional electronic devices. Thus preventing E-waste and reducing costs as well as unwanted dependencies on unreliable supply chains. We are a government-funded Co-Lab, supported by the Portuguese Innovation Agency (ANI), and collaborating with leading academic and industrial partners including CENIMAT, FCT-NOVA, The Navigator Company, Raiz, INCM, Firmo, Clara-Saude, and CM Almada to fulfill our Research and Social objectives.
