Our Story The entrepreneur and innovator behind this groundbreaking legal tech product is Nicolene Schoeman-Louw. Nicolene is the Founder and Managing Director of SchoemanLaw Inc in Cape Town, South Africa. She holds an LLB degree cum laude, LLM from the University of the Free State and a postgraduate diploma in financial planning (CFP) from the University of Stellenbosch. She is an admitted Attorney of the High Court of South Africa, Conveyancer, Notary Public and Mediator with a passion for entrepreneurs and helping them reach their most ambitious goals. Nicolene and the team at SchoemanLaw Inc created all the Contracts and continue to maintain the Contracts offered by Contracts4Biz. Nicolene also co-founded PocketAdvisor, an online learning tool for entrepreneurs, which fully integrates Contracts4Biz. Contracts4Biz was accelerated by the Hiil Innovating Justice Challenge in 2020 Why? The Contracts4Biz was conceived from the imperative to address the high rates of business failure contributing to inequality as well as poverty in South Africa. Over 70% of businesses fail in their first 5 years. The primary recorded reasons are lack of access to funding and markets.
