Con.I.S.A. "Valle di Susa" is a public welfare institution funded by a consortium of 37 Municipalities of the Susa Valley, a territory of 110 km2 in the western area of Piedmont, at the border with France. As a public institution, Con.I.S.A. is responsible for planning, creating, and providing social services and different level assistance to fragile individuals at local level, and, therefore, granting them access to social and economic rights. All the activities are carried out by a team of skilled social and community workers and other professionals with specific expertises. The main sectors of activity are related to: - Protection of Minors, and mediation/support of families in need; - Disability and adults in condition of fragility/at potential risk of marginalisation; - Supporting elderly care (including age-related mental conditions and illness); - Community work - Integration of migrants, refugees/asylum seekers (including un-accompanied minors) In particular, Con.I.S.A. cooperates with local civil society (e.g. associations and cooperatives) for the delivery of services, as well as with the private sector, local/regional and national Public Administration, university and other organisations in creating or implementing new services also through specific funded projects.
