FirstGeneration is an organization focused on increasing access to venture-scale entrepreneurship for First Generation & Immigrant (FGI) communities with an emphasis on economic impact. We believe that founders from overlooked backgrounds can be as successful, if not more successful, than their traditional peers when provided with access to a network of resources and social capital. Beginning in July 2018, we created an ecosystem to help founders from backgrounds traditionally lacking social capital to overcome the systemic challenges that they face in entrepreneurship. Our mission is to help FGI founders raise their first $1m in funding and achieve $1m in revenue. We are doing this by focusing on the 4Cs: Capabilities, Connections, Capital and Customers.
