The InnoCharge software package helps charge point operators to reduce charging costs and hence to sustainably maximize their profits. Cars are parked most of the time, usually in company parking lots or at home. However, charging only needs a fraction of that time. The InnoCharge controller uses the battery smartly and decides when within the vehicle standing time to charge at what power: It knows the fluctuating prices on the electricity market as well as the situation in the power grid – and optimizes the charging to take place at the right time such that cash is saved! InnoCharge is a spin-off of the FZI Research Center for Information Technology.
