I began working on this concept in late 2013 and decided to write a book with the same title. My goal is for people to better plan their living arrangements as they grow beyond the age of 66, or whatever age they start to plan for their last move. If people live alone, I would like for them to consider the advantages of finding a long term homemate, someone to share expenses, some meals, and more as they create their own community. I want for people, as they age and need additional support, to create their own "villages" where they can help and support each other. Baby Boomers are caught in a time where our life expectancy has increased at a far greater rate than our wealth, so the vast majority of us have not saved enough to live comfortably in the last third of our lives. but with changes, and considering new living concepts, we can not only "get by" but experience happiness we would otherwise miss.
