Boys & Girls Clubs of the Great Lakes Bay Region is a non-profit youth organization which provides after-school and summer programs for children ages 6-18. A community-based entity, we offer young people a fun, safe, and constructive out-of-school environment. Clubs offer events and services designed to build character, strengthen life skills, and help children develop into responsible citizens. Our 5 Core Program Areas are: 1. Character and Leadership Development 2. Education and Career Development 3. Health and Life Skills 4. The Arts 5. Sports, Fitness and Recreation In 1957, our organization, which began as "The Boys Club", opened its doors at our current administrative location in Bay City. Since then, we have continued to expand, and we now have Club units in Bay City, Carrollton, Essexville, Pinconning, and Saginaw. We currently host a variety of exciting programs and events throughout the year, and we continue to open our doors and our hearts to every child who walks through our doors. Our Clubs are many kids' "homes away from home", their sanctuaries, and a place they can go to feel fully welcome, cared for, accepted, and included.
