The Mentorship Class
www.thementorshipclass.orgThe Mentorship Class(TMC) is a six-month youth program that uses the trans-formative power of mentoring to groom a generation of revolutionary leaders and entrepreneurs. The program has been running since January 2017, taking on young people between the ages of 18 to 30. TMC was founded by Janet and Andrew Bugembe. Janet is a banker by profession, an entrepreneur and a trainer in financial literacy and leadership. She is the youth coordinator of Business and Professional Women Uganda. Furthermore, Janet serves on the board of Victoria Motors Limited, Uganda Aviation School and Palle Moeller Foundation. She is a mentor with Mentoring and Empowerment Program sponsored by UN Women. Andrew is a graduate of electrical engineering and a tax consultant. He has been able to build business and future leaders in business in seven countries on the African continent. He has impacted over 200,000 youth through sharing his story. He is a leadership coach who focuses on personal growth and development. The core curriculum focuses on personal growth, entrepreneurship and leadership. Topics such as communication skills, career guidance, critical thinking, negotiating skills, launching your dream business and power of personal excellence are covered. The class extends information on social media that is Instagram, Facebook and Twitter. Some of the mentors include; Prof. Maggie Kigozi, Mr. Jesse Ainebyona, Mr. Deus Ssekandi, Ms. Bridget Nambooze, Mr. Bakka George, Mr. Josam Semugoma, Ms. Sabrina Kitaka, Mr. Hillary Baguma, Mr. Ambrose Nsabirwa, Ms. Louise Kibuuka, Mr. Brian Mulondo, Mr. David Kaggwa, Mr. Paul Senyomo, Mr. Cosmas Mwikirize, Ms. Judith Namugenyi, Ms. Barbara Katende, to mention a few.
