Alamance County Recreation and Parks is a department of Alamance County Government. ACRPD provides leisure services to the citizens of Alamance County. Services include youth athletics, summer camp, a variety of special events, Special Olympics Alamance County, and district park service including Cedarock Park in southern Alamance County and Shallow Ford Nature Area in northern Alamance County. ACRPD is a participating member in the Haw River Trail partnership, a regional trail effort through 4 counties. The NC Mountains-to-Sea Trail follows the path of the Haw River Trail in Alamance County.
