A project of the Institute for Human Centered Design, Access Recreation Boston is a coalition of organizations and individuals dedicated to increasing and enhancing recreation opportunities for people with disabilities in the greater Boston area. We accomplish this through building community awareness, sharing professional expertise, and promoting collaboration. Access Rec is a community of practice, born out of the recognition that the professionals who provide adaptive and therapeutic recreation programs need specific and local training opportunities to continually improve services. We also value the collaboration possibilities and improved referrals for participants that arise through a strong network! We are building the information hub for all accessible recreation resources throughout the Greater Boston area; join us!
