Opened in 1996 on the site of the former Jervis Street Hospital which closed in the late 1980’s, the Shopping Centre has retained the ornate façade of the original building combined with a wonderfully contemporary design. The main feature of the mall is a 60 feet high central dome that creates a bright and spacious feeling adding to the overall shopping experience. The existing Marks and Spencer store on Mary Street was incorporated into the new Centre, joining Tesco, Boots and Argos as the anchor stores of the scheme.
