The University of Nigeria Students' Bar Association (UNSBA) is a professional body of all law students who have passed the bar exams in the University of Nigeria. Established in 1987 and with currently over one thousand members. The Association is modeled after the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) and has the major objectives of developing law students towards the part of professional excellence through moot competitions, legal debates, court visitations, seminars and lectures. The Bar Association is run by the Supreme Council which is the highest decision making body. And the council is chaired by the President of the Association. Members of the council are ultimate students of the University of Nigeria, who have been conferred with the rank of Senior Advocates or have been appointed Managing Partners of a firm/chambers. Membership of the association is gotten through successfully passing the bar exams and having been called to the students bar after one full academic session. It is also worthy of mention that UNSBA is one of the foremost students' bar in the world. Her core belief include fostering of students practice as they learn.
