The Australian Industrial Chemicals Introduction Scheme (AICIS) is the national regulator for the importation and manufacture of industrial chemicals. AICIS assesses the risks associated with industrial chemicals, provides recommendations on safe use, publishes risk assessment information and maintains a register of businesses that imports and manufactures industrial chemicals in Australia. AICIS began on 1 July 2020.
