Global Water Farms Inc.
www.globalwaterfarms.comGlobal Water Farms (GWF) is doing something significant about water and we want you to know about it. Our patented technology uses solar thermal energy to distill saline water. This technology is a game changer as it is zero liquid discharge. In other words, inputs: salt water, sunshine – outputs: distilled water, dry mineral/salt cake and electricity. We do not use (or dispose of) filters/membranes, we do not boil water and we do not use MED pressure changes. Global Water Farms (GWF) is a start up in La Quinta, California about to build a full-scale commercialization pilot on the east side of the Salton Sea. The pilot is located on 641 acres that GWF purchased in Riverside County atop a significant brackish aquifer. We take what was previously unusable water and turn it into ‘new’ fresh water. Our smallest water farm configuration is one unit. Depending on need, more units can be added over time as this system is modular and scalable. Water Farms are designed to work off-grid – each unit produces its own electricity; - One Water Farm Unit (unit) can treat 1 acre foot of water per day (af/d) - One unit will produce 1 af/day of distilled water and several tons (TDS dependent) of inert salt cake - One self-contained unit requires approximately 1.25 acres of land Won’t you join us on our journey to water’s future?
