EPIC non-profit organization was registered in Slovakia in 2012 by its Australian parent organization, EPIC Assist. The ambition of the EPIC non-profit organization in Slovakia is to: • influence the development of public policies for employment and social inclusion of marginalized groups • initiate the development and implementation of programs to increase employment at the local level and contribute to creating conditions for better employment • raise awareness about employment of persons with various kinds of disadvantages Main program areas of EPIC Slovakia are: • employment of people with disabilities • social economy • youth employment • international labor mobility • public policies For more information, visit http://www.epic-org.eu/home-en/ EPIC Assist o.p.s, Czech Republic was established in Prague in December 2013 as an extrapolation of EPIC's first European branch in Bratislava, Slovakia, with the aim to build on previous projects and activities with organizations in Slovakia and the Czech Republic. This operation started particularly in the area of improving the quality of employment services for disadvantaged target groups on labor market and increasing the employment of people with mental health or other disabilities. EPIC Assist Australia supports its activities from the perspective of parent institution and know-how generator. In 2018, it was transformed into a registered institute.
