Commercial Investment Properties (CIP) opened its doors in 1981 as a fee management company with a focus on small multi-family housing properties. By the late 80’s, CIP had grown to incorporate nearly 3,000 units of small multi-family apartments throughout Lincoln. That focus had shifted again by 1992 to include development and ownership, rather than just management of properties. The newly transformed focus of the company, along with the hard work and determination of CIP employees, and the guidance of the CIP Leadership Team has parlayed CIP into one of the largest and most diverse property development and management companies in the Midwest. Today, CIP manages over 7,000 multi-family housing units in Lincoln and Omaha in Nebraska; West Des Moines in Iowa; and Minneapolis, Eagan, Bloomington and Woodbury in Minnesota, as well as commercial real estate.
