PostTechnical Research (pTr) is a technology futures consultancy that focuses on the development & use of emerging technologies such as machine learning & other forms of artificial intelligence as well as contemporary technologies for the storage, maintenance & analysis of ultra-large & heterogeneous data sets. Current emphasis is on the evolution of healthcare information systems & use of machine learning & intelligent search in other areas such as financial technology (fintech). Current projects include working with community health centers to deploy & use Hadoop-based analytic software & working with many healthcare information & other start-ups on strategy for integration & use of emerging technologies in their product & service development. David Hartzband, D.Sc., founder & principal of pTr, is currently a research faculty member at MIT in the Institute for Data, Systems & Society & Director of Technology Research for the RCHN Community Health Foundation (rchnfoundation.org).
