The AV8 startup hub in its concept was the product of many campfire discussions between economic development professionals, entrepreneurs, service providers and consultants. In these discussions we went about isolating the core flaws in Canada’s support structure for entrepreneurs and began planning how they could be corrected. Today AV8 is no longer a fireside concept, but a community of veteran experts in their respective fields and a thriving startup ecosystem. AV8 is not an incubator or accelerator. It is an entirely new alternative educational vessel for new entrepreneurs combining the best aspects of all new business support structures to ensure the success of our member startups. These successes are the product of our three core mandates; > To align entrepreneurs and new businesses with resources including but not limited to non-equity funding via government support and industry alliances. > To assist entrepreneurs and new businesses in the growth of their business through our proven six phase process and the services of our partners. > To educate entrepreneurs and new businesses toward ongoing sustainable business. We believe in Canada and we believe the future of Canada is found in the untapped talent and innovation of our youth so often overlooked. At AV8 our goal is to work with young entrepreneurs to build total optimization and sustainability in the creation of new Canadian businesses that will play an important role in shaping Canada’s future.
