Fresh Routes is a not-for-profit social enterprise that is focused on creating new, innovative ways of providing healthy and affordable food to as many Canadians as possible — especially those who need it most. Our Mobile Grocery Stores brings healthy, fresh, and affordable food into neighbourhoods facing barriers — allowing choice, maintaining dignity, and building community. Our mission is to ensure that everyone has access to affordable, nutritious food and is informed to make healthy decisions and live a healthy life! Operating year-round, rain, snow or shine, our Mobile Grocery Stores (MGS) stop in over 40 communities throughout Calgary and Edmonton, serving over 2,000 Albertans each month. Fresh Routes operates through the development of partnerships with local food vendors, organizations, and municipalities. We look to connect with communities, organizations, and funders to support our vision in ensuring everyone has access to affordable and nutritious food. We believe good food is the root for good things.
