The Brick is a growing project that delivers big results for the community it serves. We offer services to people who are homeless, in poverty or facing debt crisis. As our name suggests, we provide a safe, solid building block for people in crisis to begin to construct a new life. A grassroots charity working hard to alleviate homelessness and hardship across Wigan. We work with people in a variety of settings, and at a variety of points in their journeys. The Brick has a large number of services, including supported accommodation, emergency accommodation, crisis intervention, outreach, asset coaching, three retail sites, a hospital to home service, and the Brick Works which houses a wood working and machine workshop, and two social enterprises – a leather re-use enterprise, and Gearing Up, a bike recycling and repair service. We support people over the age of 17.
