The main mission of Counselling Men Project is to end with the high rate of male suicide by walking alongside men towards a more Positive and Healthier Life in Brisbane and South East Queensland. This has been achieved by providing Registered Counselling for Men, plus following them up to Communities of Men based in Queensland. This project is not aimed at being a ‘Band-Aid’ solution but provides a deep and profound transformation. The project has 2 Big Vision: 1. To make the system we live in work for Human Development - NOT the other way around; 2. Offer subsidized qualified and registered counselling for men to prevent domestic violence, suicide, and homelessness in Brisbane. Through registered counselling sessions, men who know the importance of the therapeutic work are receiving quality services sponsored by the private sector.
