RES was inspired by the idea of developing technologies and project solutions capable of ensuring sustainable development through facing environmental, economic and societal issues. It has developed from aspirations and desires which we strive to render tangible through our work, convinced that the terms "energy" and "design" are intrinsic to a concept of sustainable development, capable of balancing profit, respect for the environment and the well-being of every single citizen. Since 2004 RES is engaged energy and environment sector, by offering customized services and products in the following fields: valorisation of organic matrices (e.g. organic waste and by-products, biomass), renewable energy, energetic systems design. To date, the company is registered as Innovative SME and it is partner of EIT Climate-KIC; it is member of Emilia-Romagna Clust-ER AgriFood; moreover RES is registered at European participant register (PIC number 920792871). Over time, the company has gained and developed expertise in particular on anaerobic digestion process and technology (concerning production of biogas/biomethane and power-to-gas applications) and on thermochemical processes and treatments (pyrolysis, gasification), moreover dealing with different types of pre-treatments on by-products and organic waste, e.g. mechanical pre-treatments, hydrolysis treatments (thermal or enzymatic), or hybrid ones such as steam explosion.
