DESIRE aims to promote teamwork and innovation through an innovative combination of methodologies adapted to the current demands of the labor market. Through the use of a combination of Design Thinking, problem-based learning and a multidisciplinary approach, we aim to contribute to overcoming the current attitude of students against learning towards an active, people-centered, exploration and discovery-oriented attitude for the critical solution of the problems of the real world. At the same time, we explore other methodologies such as Lean and Agile, aimed at project management and software development. These methodologies are becoming increasingly important in industry and in today's tech companies. The dizzying changes in technology and the demands of modern societies, increasingly changing, require flexible and agile development methodologies that adapt to the needs of customers and offer them value from the start. We believe that innovation plays a fundamental role in today's society. On the other hand, it is increasingly necessary in future engineering professionals to face problems with an attitude centered on real people, seeking sustainable solutions, and guaranteeing their technological feasibility. DESIRE was born with the aim of promoting this attitude among engineering students, by disseminating the methodologies and instruments described iabove among students and teaching staff, and by teacher training to inspire the implementation of these methodologies and instruments.
