The Pipe Factory is a space for art which is dedicated to the production and dissemination of artists work and ideas. We run a public visual arts and learning programme that includes exhibitions, workshops, residencies, events and publications, provide affordable spaces for artists to work and opportunities to experiment and exhibit in a supportive community environment. The Pipe Factory have worked extensively with our design team 40 Osbourne (a combination of INCH and Marc Kilkenny Architecture), Armour (quantity surveyors) and Design ID (structural engineers) over the last couple of years to bring these plans to fruition. The contract work was carried out by Archibald McCorquodale & Son Ltd and Timber and Lime Conservation Ltd, for the roof and windows respectively. We now have a 30 year lease in place, and a new programming committee was established in November 2016 to curate a programme of events, exhibitions, and residencies to make use of our new spaces.
