In The Gardens is a nonprofit combining edible organic garden design with mindfulness practice, changing the paradigm of the way we relate to ourselves and others as we change the paradigm of the way we grow food. We empower those in food insecure neighborhoods and beyond to have greater ownership of healthy, fresh produce, while we mitigate hunger through donating 80% of the In the Garden's organic edible garden’s food to the hungry. Employment of inner city interns helps open career paths while teaching skills essential for urban farming. Through the teaching of mindfulness practice and meditation, we foster increased health, well-being and compassionate community.
