The Asociación Peruana de Enfermería (APE), or Peruvian Nurses Association, is a legally incorporated in Peru as a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO). The APE is the only full-service professional organization representing the interests of Peruvian nurses. The APE advances nursing, the discipline and the profession, by fostering high ethical standards, promoting evidence-based nursing practices, protecting the rights of nurses in the workplace, projecting a positive image of nursing, and lobbying the government and its regulatory agencies on health care issues affecting nurses and the Peruvian people.
