She was the resident casting director at Washington, D.C.’s Folger Elizabethan Theatre for ten seasons. Films Brette has cast have won awards and been official selections at all major film festivals including Sundance, Tribeca, and Cannes. Brette was the Co-Producing Director of Washington Jewish Theatre, the Production Manager at Washington Shakespeare Co., and the Associate Producer of the Washington Theatre Festival. She has worked with thousands of actors, helping them book roles, make career choices, and secure representation. Brette now brings her expertise to the world of business and beyond. She teaches innovators, executives, salespeople, and collaborators how to deliver authenticity. Brette has provided presentation coaching for the senior executives at Boehringer Ingelheim, casting expertise for Hubspot’s sales managers, and many others. She provides counsel on The Boston Globe’s podcast, Love Letters. Brette teaches and coaches at several universities, including Montclair State University, Muhlenberg College, and University of Maryland, as well as professional studios in NY and LA such as Actors Connection, where her professional workshops include “Way Beyond Type”, “Showcasing Your Brand and Your Brand’s Brands” and “4 Steps to Nailing Commercial Copy”. Brette is a FMCA (Functional Medicine Coaching Academy) Certified Coach with an emphasis on Positive Psychology, and soon to be a certified Robbins-Madanes Strategic Intervention coach (programs based on character strengths and the work of Martin Seligman). She is based in NYC with her husband Ben, an inspiring and talented glass blower.
