Lema Labs is a startup company incubated in IIT Madras. We believe, India’s Generation-Next needs individuals, who seek challenges much more than job security, who are driven by impact much more than by credentials and who ask ‘What can I do’ more often than ‘What do I get’. We want to create an ecosystem, focused on skill development in powerful technologies such as robotics, computer vision, cloud-mobile based solutions, to empower students of today, to create high-impact applications in the near future. Our team came together to revolutionize the way technology is perceived in the country. Passion for robotics and experience of participation in various international competitions, Robotics became our first impact area. In the year 2011-2012, Lema Labs launched Kaizen Robotics Program in 8 pilot colleges in Chennai for more than 1000 students. Kaizen Robotics Program is a year-long training program in robotics. Currently, Kaizen Robotics Program 2013 is carried out for both Arts & Science and Engineering Colleges in and around Chennai. The program is an intensive course spanning for 2 months and followed by 4 months guidance program. Students will be building various robots such as line follower robot, obstacle avoider robot, table top robot, speed control robot, light avoider robot and many more. The course ends with a competition to provide a platform for students to test their understanding on every concept used in Kaizen Robotics Program.
