The Ana G. Mendez University (UAGM) is the first and only university that offers a bilingual and accelerated adult program in the United States. This innovative model is registered under the title Discipline-Based Dual Language Immersion Model® and responds to the real needs of the Hispanic community. What makes this program unique is its bilingual structure, where all courses are taught one week in English and one week in Spanish. Students are immersed in a fast-tracked learning program where courses are divided in five, eight, or 11-week academic terms depending on the career. This program opens the door to a professional education completed in two languages, expanding employment opportunities by giving Hispanics the possibility to use their primary language as a tool that brings a myriad of benefits to the workforce. AGMUS prides itself on having more than 28 nationalities represented throughout their past and present students. It takes valor to move to a new country and learn a new language, and AGMUS recognizes that.
