The business initially was renovations for Sydney property developers which led him into the residential contraction and development sector. Later transitioning into facility management, maintaining and upgrading schools, army and navy barracks during 2001 the company entered the insurance repair management business and is now a preferred provider along Australia's East Coast of Australia working within regions such as Sunshine Coast, Brisbane, Northern NSW, Port Macquarie, Tamworth, Coffs Harbour, Newcastle, Sydney, Wollongong, NSW South Coast, Canberra, Melbourne and Geelong. AJ Grant Group now encompassess several different companies: AJ Grant Building, AJ Grant Restorations and AJ Grant IT. In October 2011, AJ Grant Group introduced their custom-built claims management system BuildPRO that has been designed, developed and utilised by AJ Grant Group, to help provide a more steamlined comprehensive service.
