Rot-26 Solutions LLC
www.rot-26.comI started Rot-26 Solutions LLC in 2013 to professionally pursue a career in web application and software development. What does the name "Rot-26 Solutions" mean? "Rot26 encryption" is a lame crypto-jargon for "plain text". It is derived from the encryption algorithm known as a Caesar Cipher. When Julius Caesar wanted to send encrypted messages to his generals, he would ROTate each letter by a predetermined number of characters in the alphabet for the day. This way, if the message was intercepted, the contents had no meaning to the reader... unless of course the interceptor could determine the decryption algorithm. Rot-13 is a special Caesar Cipher in which the encryption algorithm is identical to the decryption algorithm. Since there are 26 letters in the English alphabet, one must only shift the letters by 13 in order to encrypt the content. Decrypting is just as simple: take the encrypted message and rotate it by 13 in either direction. It is crypto-jargon for very weak, or nearly non-existent encryption. As you have probably determined by now, Rot-26 is a Caesar Cipher that rotates through 26 letters of the alphabet, ending where you started. It is synonymous with no encryption at all; it is simply plain text. In fact, this entire block of text you are reading now is encrypted with Rot-26 encryption!! Congratulations, you have a powerful brain! Rot-26 Solutions is meant to reflect our ideology of providing simple, straight-forward solutions to your needs. "Il semble que la perfection soit atteinte non quand il n'y a plus rien à ajouter, mais quand il n'y a plus rien à retrancher." - Antoine de Saint Exupéry in Terre des Hommes (1939) "Perfection is finally attained not when there is no longer anything to add, but when there is no longer anything to take away" - as translated by Lewis Galantière
