FILTRONtec GmbH
www.filtrontec.deFILTRONtec GmbH registered in Starnberg, Germany was founded in 2000. Now, FILTRONtec has subsidiary companies in Australia, Hong Kong and Spain as well as a branch in Saxony-Anhalt. The highly efficient filtration technology is used successfully to reduce pollutant emissions at tunnel portals and in the improvement of visibility and reduction in the concentrations of noxious gases in long road tunnels. Outstanding features are a high separation rate for especially harmful, fine particles, an economical process for the removal of nitrogen dioxide (NO2) and the reduction of nitrogen monoxide (NO) through conversion and adsorption of the converted NO2. The particle filters can be designed to work at temperatures of up to 400 °C so that fumes can also be channelled through the filter in the event of fire. This feature does away with the need to install expensive bypass air ducts. The modular design makes it possible to adapt the filters to any given installation condition. FILTRONtec is experiencing increased interest in the application of the technology as witnessed by the numerous enquiries we receive from around the world. In 2004 FILTRONtec and two other companies were chosen by Australia's New South Wales Road and Traffic Authority from 13 interested companies to design and build a pilot filtration plant in the M5 East road tunnel in Sydney. In 2009 FILTRONtec was awarded the contract to design, build and commission this plant. In the meantime, FILTRONtec air filtration plants are in operation in road tunnels of various other countries and have proven their reliability and efficiency. FILTRONtec is the owner of many German and foreign patents. FILTRONtec GmbH is an Information Technology and Services company located in Andresenstraße, Bitterfeld-Wolfen, Saxony-Anhalt, Germany.
