Founded in 1991, Capoeira Maculelê is an international entity with headquarters in Brazil, the US, and Europe, that works to improve the lives of individuals and communities through sharing the art form of Capoeira and Afro-Brazilian culture via social projects. These projects, which are scattered all over Brazil and the US, serve over 500 kids in the slums of Brazil, Colombia, EUA and Africa. The World Capoeira Maculelê Arts Foundation is our local, Georgia-based non-profit.
