Upon sound advice from my accountants, I set up my own limited company, Hurll Technical Services Ltd., in June 2015. My primary activities are the conduct of laboratory assessments for UKAS and for other accreditation bodies as requested. I am actively involved in training activities, particularly with respect to uncertainty of measurement. I also conduct in-house training and preparation for accreditation for other customers, where these activities do not represent a conflict of interest with my assessment activities. SUPPORT Technical Support for Accreditation Bodies: Quality System and Technical Assessment for Calibration and Testing Laboratories (ISO/IEC17025:2017). EU ETV Scheme Assessments. PREPARATION Assistance in the development of management systems and quality manuals and assistance in the development of technical procedures and uncertainty budgets. IN HOUSE TRAINING Theory, methodology, technical documentation, uncertainty of measurement, calibration, metrological traceability and quality control. SUPPORT FOR LABORATORIES Conduct of internal audits, production of uncertainty budgets, production and validation of technical methods and procedures. PRODUCTS Low thermal emf cables; high value resistance standards.
