Splendid are an energetic Pop/HipHop/Reggae band from The Netherlands. The 10-person band is known as one of the most exciting, party hard live bands in Holland. With charismatic frontman Patrick Schmitz, outstanding horn session and choreographed background vocalists, every live show turns into one great unforgettable experience. In the spring of 2013 Splendid released their brand new album "Sun Beats Down". The album entered the Dutch charts at #11. The first single "Fast Lane" was promoted on a string of Dutch TV and radio shows, followed by yet another long hot summer, packed with major festival gigs. With the single "Again"(taken from the 2011 album "Connect Back To The Stars"), Splendid scored a major radio hit and a massive festival banger. The follow-up single "The Beach" became a Dutch anthem along the shores of Holland. This 4th album meant a definite breakthrough, followed by a massive, sold out club show at the end of the year. The tour triggered the busiest festival season in the history of the band, playing 50+ festivals in The Netherlands in 2012. This also got noticed in the UK. Splendid played a very successful gig at the Trafalgar Square in London for a 15.000+ crowd. Though Splendid had already played several shows abroad during its 12 year existence, the band just got back from a 10.000+ crowd at Sziget, Budapest and are now preparing for a new nationwide clubtour in the fall of 2013.
