For nearly 70 years, Warsash Maritime School has been a world-class provider of innovative maritime education, training, research and consultancy. We offer a comprehensive range of state-of-the-art training facilities and purpose-built learning environments. These include newly-commissioned bridge and engine room simulators, pier head survival craft facilities, a fire fighting school and dedicated workshops and centres for engineering, seamanship and radio communications. Our world-leading 20-acre Ship Handling Centre at Timsbury Lake provides specialised ship handling training and assessment for Captains and senior officers using manned ship models. This exceptional facility enables us to offer a variety of ship handling challenges, including port entry scenarios, berthing manoeuvres, canal transits, narrow channels and turning basins.
