Aide et Action becomes Action Education! We are an international non-profit organisation working in 20 countries around the world to support the development of sustainable education projects. Aide et Action was founded in 1981 and has been working in Southeast Asia since 2003, first in Cambodia and later on in Vietnam, Laos, China and Myanmar. Since 2008, we also have a fundraising office in Hong Kong. Our teams in these Asian countries work closely together and have formed Aide et Action Southeast Asia, with a regional office in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. We firmly believe in the universal and basic human right to quality education, and each and every one of our programs and initiatives is built on this fundamental principle. In the Southeast Asia & China region, our approach to overcoming barriers to education and helping to bring about sustainable, inclusive and quality national education systems, focuses on 5 main themes: - ACCESS & QUALITY OF EDUCATION - EARLY CHILDHOOD CARE & EDUCATION (ECCE) - GIRLS & WOMEN EDUCATION - INCLUSIVE EDUCATION - LIVELIHOOD EDUCATION We work through both partnerships and direct implementation with other NGOs, governments, local authorities and the communities themselves. Children, parents, teachers and other education actors are always at the center of everything we do.
