Indestructible, reliable and maintenance-free? These requirements combined are difficult to obtain. However, with the design of the Flying Dutchman we aim to approach these goals as closely as possible: STAINLESS STEEL CASE Stainless steel case (SS 316L surgical steel) with screwdown case back, unaffected by water and most common chemicals. Scratches can be polished away if necessary. If the case gets dirty the strap can be taken off for easy cleaning. SAPPHIRE CRYSTALS Seriously tough material, scratching it is virtually impossible. Only diamonds can cause scratches, so watch out with wedding rings! UNIQUE DESIGN FEATURE Pellikaan timing is the only watch brand that uses luminous classic hands! The use of luminous paint Superluminova enables reading the watch in the dark. Altough this is really quite practical it is never done on the classic breguet style hands. Using this paint on breguet hands is definitely not easy and requires extra skills and patience, probably a reason why it is never done!
