NiQuan Energy’s business is the development and operation of small to medium scale Gas to Liquid (GTL) plants. GTL is a process which turns natural gas, the cleanest of the hydrocarbons, into a range of high performance, low emissions energy products, including bio-degradable paraffinic diesel and naphtha. Paraffinic diesel can be used in existing diesel engines without adaption and delivers immediate reductions in Particulate Matter, Carbon Monoxide, NOx and SOx. GTL paraffinic diesel can make an immediate and significant contribution to improving overall air quality, particularly in urban environments. NiQuan Energy’s first project is nearing completion in Trinidad and Tobago and, when operational, it will produce 2,640 barrels per day of GTL Paraffinic Diesel and GTL Naphtha. It will be the first designated commercial small-scale GTL production facility in the world and the first commercial GTL production facility of any size in the western hemisphere. It is a pioneer plant which will be the first of a generation of small to medium scale plants worldwide. Together, these plants will help to deliver a deliver a cleaner fuel future for everyone.
