The Italian Institute of Strategic Studies is a cultural non-profit organization headquartered in Rome - Italy. The Institute pursues for priority statutory purposes research activities aimed at the expansion of cultural, scientific, social and technical knowledge not related to specific and immediate industrial or commercial objectives. The Institute, an independent think tank, was founded by the initiative of an international group of distinguished thinkers, academics and renowned professionals from civil and military institutions, with the aim of contributing to the renaissance of the Italian strategic thinking.
