We are a non-profit organization founded by a pediatrician, dedicated to helping communities make the connection between good food and good health. We provide solutions for picky eating (for ages 0-99), ideas for sustainable eating and ways to impact communities with awareness about nutrition. PROGRAMS 1) We are working with the youngest family members through The Doctor Yum Preschool Adventure Program, making healthy food fun for families and giving them information and ideas to create a foundation for healthy eating at school and home. 2) We are creating innovative hands-on cooking instruction programs through our teaching kitchen and garden to inspire family members of all ages take control of their health by getting back in the kitchen and preparing meals together. 3)We are building healthier communities with cooking instruction and nutrition education through outreach efforts in Central VA and beyond. 4) We are bringing together physicians from varying fields with our state-of-the-art website (supported by multiple social media platforms) with recipes and information that help families connect the dots between diet and overall health.
