Americas Ocean Watch is the new name for the expedition planned under the name Project Ocean Watch. This new name more accurately reflects our goal to help save ocean health and generate ocean innovation around all of the Americas with our focus on One Island One Ocean. Approach: Expedition: Complete a circumnavigation of The Americas using the 64’ S/V Ocean Watch, uniting experts and entrepreneurs in science, education and blue tech innovation to collect valuable data, engage in powerful storytelling and to support interdisciplinary environmental problem-solving. Ocean Innovation Challenge: Launch a global micro prize competition in 45+ ports to discover bold and passionate ocean innovators of all ages whose ideas, products and technology can make a rapid and measurable impact on restoring and protecting the health of our oceans.
