The nature of today's ERP implementation is very different from that which I encountered when I began. We need to collect more data from more sources to improve our business processes and stay competitive. We must also devote resources in keeping our data relevant, secure and trustworthy. Costs have also spiked and the investment needs to be recouped swiftly. Technological innovations like Cloud computing, Smart devices, Blockchain, Robotics and AI have opened new scenarios for improvement; however, they can also add noise to a good implementation. Development approaches like Domain Driven Design and Agile methodologies try to bring more sense to the confusion. In 2020 I have decided to use my knowledge and experience to form an IT company based on my vision. An organization built around my keen, hands-on interest in existing and emerging technologies and my philosophy to building successful teams.
