A maze of hot tubs was buried beneath what is now the main dance floor in 1985 when the bathhouse was converted to Major Ponds, the first live music venue at the location. In 1986 Ira Sandler took over management and founded Das Klub, which grew to be San Francisco's largest over-18 after hours spot. Keeping up with the times and the music scene, the club was renamed Martini and revamped into one of the cities' most popular over-21 nightclubs. The namesake Ten15 was established in 1991 and became the hottest dance club in the Bay Area electronic music scene by 1996 when Spundae and Release were launched, a combo that would later become the longest running weekend party in San Francisco. These events sparked visionary programs hosted by Ten15 in years since as we embrace multiple music and art scenes, with other clubs around the world following suit.
