The SmartUp - Social Innovation Lab acts as an eco-system builder connecting different stakeholders to promote and develop social innovation thus building a society that is socially, environmentally and economically sustainable. SIH is the flagship institution for developing social innovations and supporting social innovators and entrepreneurs that generate impact. We work across disciplines to inspire and empower people and organisations to solve emerging societal challenges. We work with companies, governments, nonprofits and other organizations to address complex challenges. We do it by: • promoting and stimulating social innovation and social entrepreneurship through innovative, interactive and engaging events to raise awareness about the positive changes they can bring about; • collaborating with different international actors to develop projects/products/social innovations, share and exchange experiences; • connecting all actors of the social innovation eco-system and helping them establish ground for collaboration; • researching and identifying societal challenges; Approach we use We use human centered design in our work and projects and our work typically moves from discovery research to collaborative design to formative evaluation
