Heimta is a residential psychotherapy organization that is currently underway. It is designed to promote connection to self and others, restore task, cultivate purpose and revitalize spirit amongst special operations warriors. We seek to achieve this through nature-based mindfulness therapy. We believe that nature possesses the necessary healing elements for psychological well-being and can serve as a prophylactic of PTSD. We exist to equip our patients with the tools to process traumatic memories and regulate post-trauma emotions in an effort to mitigate the enduring personality changes that PTSD can inflict.
