Northamptonshire Rape Crisis, known locally as NRC, has been supporting survivors of sexual violence in Northamptonshire for over 35 years. We provide face to face counselling, group support, telephone helpline and practical advocacy to women, men and children aged 14 years+ All of our services are provided free of charge to the local community and clients can self-refer or be referred via GP's, social services, police and other agencies. We provide support to survivors of recent and historic sexual violence and regardless of whether an offence has been reported to the police. Referral forms are available via our website. We are a small independent charity that relies on the support of the local community, businesses and grant-making organisations to ensure we can continue to provide our much-needed services. We have a small staff team and a growing team of volunteer counsellors. Please see our website for details on how to apply for a counselling placement with us. We also provide professional training services on all aspects of sexual violence, including sexual harassment in the workplace, to local agencies and businesses.
