Truckee River Winery began 26 years ago in the garage of a ski lover and his wife. For 9 years they made great wine for their friends and family in the area before deciding to expand. Soon after, they moved the winery into a two story barn on the river where they could make 1000 cases with the help of their daughter and friends. In 2010 Truckee River Winery opened their very own tasting room so that all locals and visitors of Truckee could enjoy their wines in a family-friendly, dog-friendly environment complete with bocce courts, deli foods (paninis, cheese plates, etc.), beer, and more.
