International Union of Operating Engineers Local 825

www.iuoe825.org

IUOE Local 825 represents more than 6,500 Operating Engineers in all 21 counties of New Jersey and five counties of lower New York State. In addition to operating heavy equipment, our members also operate equipment in sand and gravel operations and rock quarries. Some of our members are mechanics and perform work on the equipment in shops and on construction projects. Our primary purpose is to excel at what we do and advocate for jobs for our members. With our training, experience and our drive, we enhance productivity and build value for our contractors. We do the job right the first time, on time and on budget. In exchange, we ensure that our members are treated fairly and viewed as part of the team. As a proud member of NJ Task Force 1, Local 825 provides key support in times of public emergency. Working as volunteers under the direction of state authorities, we provide advanced technical search and rescue capabilities to victims trapped or entombed in structurally collapsed buildings. NJ-TF1 members provide efficient and effective rescue technologies and heavy equipment in accordance with the Federal Emergency Management Agency's guidelines on urban search and rescue and the appropriate National Fire Protection Association Standards. Local 825 maintains two district offices -- in Cherry Hill, N.J. and Middletown, N.Y. in addition to its Springfield, NJ, headquarters. It operates two training facilities in Dayton, NJ, and Middletown, NY.
