Founded in 2020, The StoryBoard Collective is a philanthropic organisation based in Geneva with a mission to support media for good. We support documentary impact production and episodic storytelling. StoryBoard supports engaged narratives through partnerships with cultural organisations, residencies, media experts and festivals to build capacity and provide funding. StoryBoard seeks to broaden, professionalize and hold space for the impact production industry and for episodic storytellers from underrepresented communities. Through our initiatives, StoryBoard seeks to encourage an inclusive and resolutely independent storytelling community. Purpose We believe that authentic independent storytelling broadens minds, builds solidarity and engages the audience meaningfully. Vision We support independent, transformative stories to be written, screened and shared in order to shift behaviour and catalyze action. Mission We seek to amplify the power of stories by facilitating funding, collaboration and impactful outreach. The StoryBoard House is located in Geneva, Switzerland, a historical hub for dialogue and multilateralism, with many international organizations (e.g. UN, agencies and NGOs). This live-work space has an ambition to build an ecosystem of storytellers, thinkers and cultural strategists from a wide range of backgrounds and geographies through transformative encounters.
